Montour impresses in Sabres debut

By Neil Becker Sports Writer The news wasn’t all bad for the Buffalo Sabres who got a solid debut performance from defenceman Brandon Montour. Acquired recently from the Anaheim Ducks Montour logged 18:11 of ice time where he registered three shots on goal, three hits and two blocked shots in what was a 5-2 road loss against the Philadelphia Flyers. “I really liked his game,” Sabres coach Phil Housley said. “He really attacked the game. He tried to make a difference out there. I loved the speed he brought, the tenacity.
