SNEC returns $800,000 in funding

By Justin Lethbridge Writer “Oh my God…” Was Councillor Helen Miller’s response upon hearing that the Six Nations Paramedic Services will be sending back $840,815.00 of unspent funding from the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care. Councillor Dave Hill was equally upset by the amount of money going back. “That’s almost a million dollars!” He said. “You’re saying that you can’t find people willing to go to work? That’s a heck of a lot of money!” Most of the money, $176,000.00, is from the 2016/2017 fiscal budget with the rest being from last year’s budget.
