Bantam Reps stamp ticket to Southern Counties finals

By Neil Becker Sports Writer Hockey fever has a tight grip on Six Nations. The Six Nations Bantam Reps recently solidified their spot in the Southern County Championships. With Zack Johnson scoring two goals and goaltender Ashlee LaForme standing tall in net, the Bantam Reps thrilled the Gaylord Powless Arena crowd by pulling out a 3-2 Southern Counties semi-finals win against the Simcoe Warriors. Reflecting on what has been making the Six Nations Bantam Reps so successful Johnson paused before replying, “Skating hard and passing a lot.” Meanwhile teammate Owen Vanloon who had lots of quality chances added, “We moved the puck and had lots of touches.” Striving for their fifth straight win both teams had some early chances but it was Johnson who capitalized on his first opportunity for…
