Tycie Cowan impresses in Rebels inter-squad competition

By Neil Becker Sports Writer When it comes to lacrosse, Tycie Cowan is a natural. Cowan made a loud statement at the Rebels Inter-squad game with a seven-goal performance along with a spirited fight in leading the black team to a 17-14 win against team orange. This is only the third year that Cowan has played lacrosse. “This is my first year trying out for the Rebels,” Cowan said. “I played Intermediate last year and that wasn’t enough of a challenge. They (Rebels coaches) told me to keep coming to practice and that they are looking to see whose dedicated and wants to work.” With Team Black finding themselves deadlocked 3-3, Cowan made his presence known when at 1:54 of the second, he picked the corner for that go-ahead goal….
