Team First Nations Midgets focused on gold

By Neil Becker Sports Writer Davin Bomberry is on a mission to nab the Canadian Championship midget division gold. Bomberry, along with other hopefuls, were going through various drills at the Iroquois Lacrosse Arena in the second of three Team First Nations Midgets tryouts. “It would mean a lot to go to B.C. and win gold,” Bomberry said. “I’m more of a passer who sets picks. I don’t usually shoot unless in the middle.” No question it was a nerve wracking but exciting day for those aspiring players trying out for Team First Nations Peewee, Bantam and Midget division squads who will be competing from August 20-24th in Coquitlam BC at the Canadian Championships.
