New Location for Nations and NewStart Programs

By Justin Lethbridge Writer An Old grocery store on Third Line has been given new life as home of education programs aimed at keeping Six Nations high school students engaged. The Nations NewStart Community Based Learning Centre will now house three unique programs. “This location is an amalgamation of the three programs,” Organizer Jeanie Martin told the Turtle Island News, “Turning Point program held at the I.L.A., the Nations program held in Ohsweken and the NewStart program which was originally held in the New Credit plaza.” While the programs have been in the new building at 2319 Third Line Road since September 2018, the facility saw an open house held on Monday April 15th, 2019.
