Abrams has five-point performance in Rivermen debut By Neil Becker Sports Writer Gates Abrams couldn’t have had a more impactful debut with the Six Nations Rivermen. Admitting to battling some nerves, Abrams lived up to the hype by scoring three goals and five points in helping the Rivermen to an eventual 15-8 home win against the Ennismore James Gang. “I felt really good to play with the men,” Abrams said. “I was kind of nervous at first but I feel like I try harder when nervous. I had three goals and it feels good to put three in the net.
