Montour excellent at 2019 IIHF World Championships

Following a breakthrough NHL season which saw this Buffalo Sabres defenceman score 35 points, Montour was picked to represent Canada at the 2019 IIHF World Championships where he’s been paired up with Ottawa Senators blue liner Thomas Chabot. In the tournament’s opening Preliminary game, which was a 3-1 loss against Finland at Steel Arena in Kosice Slovakia, Montour had a great scoring opportunity in the second period, but was denied from the slot.
