Day of Action shuts down Six Nations Band office

Six Nations Band office shut down Monday and continued Tuesday.

By Justin Lethbridge Writer A group of Six Nations people said Tuesday they may allow band employees into the Six Nations band administration building they have had shutdown since Monday. The group said Tuesday they realize certain functions need to take place and they were willing to meet with the Six Nations Elected Council (SNEC) to discuss the option. At the same time the SNEC met in an emergency meeting Tuesdsay Turtle Island News was told. Sources said SNEC sent a letter to the protesters requesting band office staff be allowed into the building. A press statement was issued Tuesday.
