NHL defenceman Brandon Montour guest instructing at “Learning to Lead’ hockey camp

By Neil Becker Sports Writer Brandon Montour will be showcasing his elite hockey skills in Whitehorse this coming summer. Coming off a strong NHL regular season, which saw the 25-year-old defenceman score eight goals and 35 points with the Anaheim Ducks and Buffalo Sabres; Montour recently committed to be a guest coach at what is the 17th annual “Learning to Lead” hockey camp. “It’s pretty awesome to have this calibre come to the camp,” YFNHA coordinator Karee Vallevand said of not only Montour but also Vancouver Canucks defenceman Troy Stretcher who participated in last year’s “Learning to Lead” camp. “They are great guys who want to come.” Montour, who was a Ducks 2014 second round draft choice experienced a whirlwind season which saw him score five goals and 25 points…
