St. Louis coach Craig Berube signs three year extension

By Neil Becker Sports Writer Craig Berube proved to be just what the St. Louis Blues needed. Upon replacing Mike Yeo behind the bench on November 19th, Berube played a major role in the Blues turning their season around which of course ended with them hoisting the Stanley Cup. “Craig made an enormous impact on our team when he took over last November,” Blues general manager Doug Armstrong said. “He restored our identity and provided our players with a clear sense of direction.” After taking over as interim head coach, Berube led the Blues to a 38-19-6 record, which included engineering an unbelievable 30-10-5 streak down the stretch.
