Rivermen forward Johnny Powless has six point performance

By Neil Becker Sports Writer The Six Nations Rivermen showed just how serious they are at becoming President Cup champions. In late June Rivermen management pulled the trigger on two major signings as they inked New England Blackwolves defenceman Adam Bomberry along with Toronto Rock scoring forward Johnny Powless. “Having Johnny join our team obviously brings more fire power to our offence and some leadership out the front door,” Rivermen goalie Warren Hill said. “More importantly however, he is just another great teammate. A lot of us grew up playing with Johnny so it’s been fun having him back.” Hill added Bomberry, “grew up playing with most of the guys in Six Nations and Adam brings experience and confidence to our defensive end.
