Basketball Champion Michael Linklater Going Out On His Home Court

The 2018 Tom Longboat award winner has just added the inaugural Canadian Elite Basketball League Championship to his list of wins. And now the 36-year-old has decided to call it a career. Linklater moved to Saskatoon at the age of 10, the now 36-year-old Linklater told the Turtle Island News that winning the title in Saskatoon was something he’ll cherish. “It was fun and extra special to me to win the championship on our home court. All of our team’s family and friends were in attendance. They gave us that extra boost that we needed to win. Winning the title, it’s what I live for, and doing it at home, it’s something I won’t ever forget.”…
