Community Plan Accepted as a Guide for the Future

After a year and a half of community engagement Six Nations Elected Council was told Monday governance has emerged as a key priority for the community. SNEC’s received an update on the Six Nations Community Plan during September 9th’s Committee of the Whole meeting. Originally developed as a capitol plan and infrastructure needs approach in 1996, the Community Plan has evolved to become a more comprehensive approach to creating a vision of the future of the Six Nations. It is now part of the Six Nations Grand River Development Corporation’s (SNGRDC) portfolio. SNGRDC Community plan Coordinator Jake Bastido and Engagement Facilitator Stephanie Burnham oversaw the plan.
