Hawks’ Tycie Cowan notches opening night hattrick

By Neil Becker Sports Writer HAGERSVILLE – Hagersville Hawks assistant captain Tycie Cowan had a magical opening night that he will always remember. After recovering from a summertime lacrosse injury, Cowan grabbed the spotlight with a three-goal performance in a Saturday, September 14th season opening 9-4 win at Hagersville Arena against the Dunnville Mudcats. “I was very excited to get those early goals and score the first goal of the regular season,” Cowan said. “It meant a lot to the younger talented players to see that.” A day later Cowan drew a key assist as the Hawks improved to 2-0 following an 8-4 road win against the Port Dover Sailors. “It’s very important to get those wins because you never know later on in the season when it will matter,”…
