Sabres’ Brandon Montour suffers pre season injury

By Neil Becker Writer BUFFALO NY. – The Buffalo Sabres aren’t providing too much detail surrounding the injury to de-fenceman Brandon Montour. According to the Sabres Montour, who is entering his fourth NHL campaign, and was slated to be in the top two pairing will miss the rest of training camp and perhaps some early regular season games due to a hand injury. “I wouldn’t expect him right off the hop,” Sabres coach Ralph Krueger said about the regular season. “But pretty soon thereafter.” Montour, who logged more than 17 minutes of ice time in a Tuesday, September 17th 4-1 pre-season lost in Columbus, is coming off 8 goals, 35-point campaign in 82 games which started with the Anaheim Ducks before getting traded in late February to Buffalo.
