Mustangs Theda Anthony has dominant seven-point performance

By Neil Becker Sports Writer BRANTFORD – Growing up, Theda Anthony had a goal to play high school basketball. After years of sharpening her skills by playing as a kid in Brantford, Anthony is now living out her dream playing on the B.C.I. Junior Mustangs girls basketball team. “I’ve been looking forward to this for awhile,” Anthony said. “To win a championship my first year would be amazing.” This grade 9 student athlete received heavy praise from coach Jennifer Grierson, after a dazzling seven point performance despite a Junior Mustangs’ 36-33 loss at the B.C.I. school gymnasium against St. Johns September 26th. “She is confident, knows where to pass the ball and knows where to be,” Grierson said.
