Assumption Lions move on to CWOSSA Championship game

By Justin Lethbridge Writer Assumption College School Senior Lions made a last-minute comeback to beat the Jacob Hespeler Hawks 17-16 and advance to the CWOSSA Championship. The Lions offence sputtered early with a fumble and interceptions allowing the Hawks to open the score with a field goal and add another touchdown to go up 10-0 in the first quarter. The Lions opened the second with an interception of their own. Six Nations player Trevor McDonald had a big quarter with some big blocks and long runs both on offence and after a missed field goal but the Lions continued to struggle offensively.
