Haudenosaunee women’s lacrosse wins world qualifiers By Josh Giles Sports Reporter Over this past weekend, the Pan-American Lacrosse Association (PALA) held their first inaugural 2019 Women’s World Qualifiers with the Haudenosaunee Women’s team bringing home the first-place prize. After steam rolling the competition on offence and defense, the Haudenosaunee dominated Puerto Rico in the championship game with a final score of 16-6, and cementing their place in history, as well as their position for the World Championship. Tia Schindler is a board member of PALA and represents Women’s Lacrosse as a whole for the league. She is also part of the Haudenosaunee nation, so this win is close to her heart.
