ISWO is ready to make a big impact in Indigenous communities

By Josh Giles Sports Reporter TORONTO – It was a busy week for Indigenous Sports and Wellness Ontario. (ISWO) but they had a million reasons to smile. ISWO announced last week they will be receiving over $1 million in federal funding over the next two years to increase Indigenous sports opportunities. And they have just cemented a new partnership with Athlete Institute to grow the game of basketball in Indigenous Communities. There has been a growing interest in the game of basketball all over the country. Especially since the Toronto Raptors won the Larry O’Brien trophy after successfully toppling the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals.
