Six Nations Election Appeals Committee turns down first appeal

By Justin Lethbridge Writer Six Nations resident Brenda Johnson has had her appeal requesting a recall of the 58th General Election and the removal of Chief Electoral Polling Officer (CEPO) Steve Williams rejected by the Appeals Committee. The 10 person committee was appointed by CEPO Williams prior to the election. He has kept the names of its members a secret to protect their privacy, he says. Brenda Johnson launched an appeal after being rejected as a candidate in the November 19th election by Williams. She submitted the appeal along with two petitions to the Appeals Committee after it was rejected by CEPO Williams.
