Six Nations Minor hockey plays despite blizzard

By Josh Giles Sports Writer Saturday saw a huge snowstorm blanket the area, and the second half of hockey at the GPA had to be cancelled, but those who went early were entertained by the Initiation Programs as well as Atom hockey. Both Sr. and Jr. Initiation Programs shared the ice against Waterford’s teams. Splitting the ice down the center so each age group could play their own games, it was a fun game all around. Dennis MacDonald helps in coaching the program and told Turtle Island News that it’s just about having a good time, “Days like today when you put on the Blackhawks jersey, it’s just to have fun. We don’t care if it’s 200 goals against and one for you. It’s about having fun, learning the game…
