Six Nations players hit the ice in Minnesota showcase

By Josh Giles Sports Writer The Rise Centre (TRC) has been primarily a program to enhance basketball players through high school, but has recently taken on hockey for their first season ever. But where most programs always have a rough first year, TRC has seemingly had the cards stacked against them. The TRC started the season with head coaching struggles which kicked off the beginning of a long road. Jim Wilson is the owner of the TRC and the Director of the Academy and said, “We didn’t hire the right coach for our first year program. The players have had to battle adversity and the academy as a whole. We had a coach who basically didn’t recruit, didn’t bring players in and about mid-October pulled a Houdini in the middle…
