Chiefs select Daniel Balawejder with their only pick

By Josh Giles Sports Writer It was a long first few rounds for the Six Nation Chiefs in the Major Series Lacrosse Draft, but when their time came to pick, they knew exactly who they were going for. That man is the go to face off guy at Canisius College and defenseman Daniel Balawejder. When asked why they chose to select Balawejder with their only pick, Chiefs General Manager Duane Jacobs said, “I know he was a face-off guy and we were looking for someone to help out Jeremy Thompson who is our main guy because it’s a very physical position.” He will clearly be playing a depth role with room to grow.
