Brantford Police still seeking two in city’s first homicide

BRANTFORD-Brantford Police said two men are in custody and they are searching for two others wanted in connection with the city’s first homicide after a shooting at a city motel last Saturday. Police are searching for two men they have described as armed and dangerous. Wanted are Roger Earl VanEvery, 35, of Brantford, and Shajjad Hossain Idrish, 22, of Hamilton. Both men are charged with murder, two counts of attempted murder and conspiracy to commit murder. Idrish is also charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, unauthorized possession of a firearm, using a firearm in the commission of an offence, carrying a concealed weapon, and careless use of a firearm.
