Pandemic spawns video council meetings

By Donna Duric Writer In the midst of a pandemic Zoom is coming of age and so are Six Nations Elected Council (SNEC) members’ computer skills. Zoom has been the primary method of holding official meetings since the beginning of the current pandemic restrictions. It allows members to continue community business while practicing social distancing right from their home kitchens, studies or living rooms. But it also saddles them with learning the new technology and it hasn’t been without its difficulties. There have been babies crying in the background or dogs barking or the sound of traffic.
