Six Nations Chiefs season cancelled

It appears that the Iroquois Lacrosse Arena will be seeing much less playing time this year, as Major Series Lacrosse (MSL) has decided to cancel the season. The league that holds the Six Nations Chiefs met for a meeting on Saturday morning with the official announcement released Tuesday at noon. In the press release, MSL said, “Due to the ongoing and evolving impacts of the global COVID-19 pandemic, Major Series Lacrosse and the Western Lacrosse Association in British Columbia have made the difficult and disappointing decision to cancel both their 2020 seasons.” With both seasons cancelled, this means that there will be no Mann Cup tournament this season either which will be the first season in which there will be no winner crowned since the trophy was introduced to Senior…
