2009 Brantford Golden Eagles inducted into Brantford and Area Sports Hall of Recognition

By Josh Giles Writer The 2009 Brantford Eagles are being inducted into the Brantford and Area Sports Hall of Recognition. The Brantford Eagles are the very first Brantford team to win the Sutherland Cup in Jr. B Hockey since 1941 but the team comes with strong Six Nations roots. The team was made up of many local players from Brantford and the surrounding areas, including a pair of players from Six Nations. “To win was special, and what made it even more special is to have Brock Smith and Matt Hill share in part of it was amazing.
