Six Nations is open for business, business brisk but no traffic jams surface

By Donna Duric Writer Six Nations has been open for business for five days now. Yet the streets remain quieter than usual. Normal traffic along the busiest corridors – Highway 54 and Sixth Line – is lighter than usual. It has been an unusual week. The weekend was busy, but hoards of customers that concerned community residents didn’t surface but stores were kept busy. Checkpoints at the reserve’s entrances that closed off the community to curb the spread of Covid-19 came down in the dark hours early Monday morning, causing anxiety among many who believe outsiders will bring the virus to the community’s vulnerable population.
