Black Eye Boxing Gym sees interest from Six Nations community members

By Josh Giles Writer It looks like boxing is taking off. Brantford’s Black Eye Boxing Gym has been open for two weeks now and has seen a surge in business since re-opening. Unfortunately for the gym, it’s tough to get people involved when classes are being limited. But that hasn’t stopped people from Six Nations in getting involved. Rob Rutherford is a trainer with the gym and said that it’s been a lot harder. “We were having anywhere between 20 to 30 kids. We’re down to class sizes of eight. We’ve only been open for two weeks and have had some people get back right away.” Having to sanitize before, between and after classes, the gyms really had their work cut out for them.
