OUA announces black, bi-racial and Indigenous task force

By Josh Giles Writer Ontario University Athletics (OUA) are creating a task force to promote university sports to black, bi-racial and Indigenous peoples. Already holding town halls focusing on the black communities, they intend to hold another town hall for Indigenous people in September. The purpose of these town halls and the task force is to help better the lives of university athletes and coaches in these groups, and create a more equal environment. “Some things have been identified as areas of focus. Like policies within the OUA to address equality. Look at education to educate our stakeholders.
