2021 NAHC cancelled

By Josh Giles Writer With the second wave of COVID-19 hitting the country, the Aboriginal Sports Circle (ASC) has decided to cancel the 2021 National Aboriginal Hockey Championship (NAHC). The tournament was set to happen in May, but now will have to be pushed back. They announced the decision recently on their website. “The Aboriginal Sports Circle, through its Board of Directors, has passed a motion to cancel the 2021 National Aboriginal Hockey Championship,” they said. “The ASC’s decision to cancel next year’s event was made to safeguard the health of its fans, players, volunteers and the Canadian community at large.” The NAHC was planned to happen this year in 2020, but was pushed back to May 2021 in hopes that the coronavirus would subside by then.
