Turtle Island Lacrosse announces scholarship

By Josh Giles Writer Turtle Island Lacrosse (TIL) was started by Brendan Bomberry and Randy Staats to promote the game of lacrosse in Indigenous communities. Even though it is still a young program, they have grown very quickly and on top of holding their first lacrosse camp recently, they have announced a lacrosse scholarship for young Indigenous athletes. “Any Indigenous lacrosse player between the ages of 10 to 21 years old with a specific need for financial support relating to lacrosse is welcome to apply,” TIL said. With the ideal candidate having a clear need for financial support along with it having a significant impact in their life.
