Cleveland Indians retiring team name

The Cleveland Indians will hold onto their name until they decide on a new one.

By Josh Giles Writer The Cleveland Indians baseball team of Major League Baseball (MLB) announced last week that they would be retiring the team name. After many professional sports teams came to that decision, Cleveland has made the decision to get rid of the team name. Even though the announcement came out recently, they have been looking very deep into this according to the team itself. “Since July, we have conducted an extensive process to learn how our team name affected different constituencies and whether it aligned with our organizational values.
