Masters Indigenous Games postponed

By Josh Giles Writer The Masters Indigenous Games (MIG) was set to take place in Ottawa in 2021, with some amazing Indigenous athletes showcasing their talents and abilities. Unfortunately, Indigenous Sports and Wellness Ontario (ISWO) has made the tough decision to postpone it due to COVID-19. The tough news was announced by the ISWO and MIG on Friday. “It was an extremely difficult decision to postpone MIG,” ISWO President Marc Laliberte said. “However, as an organization, we felt that the health and safety of participants and communities, and the integrity of the event, would be compromised if we moved forward with hosting amidst the uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic.” MIG was going to be such a huge event hitting Ottawa around the same time as the North American Indigenous Games…
