By Josh Giles Writer World Lacrosse is a global organization with dozens of countries involved in the game of lacrosse competitively, but one thing was missing… a competitive women’s box lacrosse game for women to play. They announced the intention to start the process of looking into it all the way back in September with the formation of the Women’s Indoor/Box Lacrosse Working Group to help create such a competition level. “The purpose of the Working Group is to investigate and develop a pathway for the development of Women’s Indoor/Box Lacrosse around the world at both the junior (U19/20) and senior levels in order to provide an opportunity for women to compete in the discipline and bring gender equality to WL events,” they said.
