Lacrosse Canada honours game’s Indigenous roots in rebrand

The new Lacrosse Canada logo references the sports roots in Indigenous culture with eagle feathers being featured.

By Josh Giles Writer Lacrosse Canada is a new rebrand from the formerly know Canadian Lacrosse Association. They announced the change at the end of March with a completely new look that not only gives the National Team a fresh look, but also honours the roots and traditions of lacrosse. Jane Clapham is the Executive Director of Lacrosse Canada and spoke on the exciting rebrand. “Lacrosse Canada recognized the need for an organization rebrand to better reflect the values and identity of the Canadian lacrosse community,” she said. According to Lacrosse Canada, the opportunity arose with play being suspended for a year. “With the pandemic putting many sports across the country on hold for the past year, it provided a valuable opportunity to move ahead with the rebrand,” she said….
