Brantford Police charge second man in homicide

BRANTFORD- A Six Nations man has become the second charged with first-degree murder in connection with the shooting death of Nebiyu Myers,19, in Brantford in April. Brantford police said they charged Cleveland VanEvery, 19, of Ohsweken, Saturday, May 22, 2021. He is also facing charges for firearms offences, drug possession and breach of a court order. He is the second man charged in connection with the shooting. City police charged Elijah Marfoh, 18 of Brantford with first-degree murder, firearms offences and breach of a court order on May 7th. On Saturday, April 17, 2021, Nebiyu Myers was found inside a residence in the area of Alfred Street and Wellington Street just after 1:00 p.m. suffering from gunshot wounds.
