Six Nations Councillor Nathan Wright running for Ontario Regional Chief

By Lynda Powless Editor Six Nations band councillor Nathan Wright has announced his candidacy for Ontario Regional Chief. Wright is the first to announce his candidacy. Current ORC RoseAnne Archibald has announced she will not seek re-election after one term in office. Instead she is running for Assembly of First Nations National Chief position. Current AFN chief Perry Bellegarde announced earlier he will not see re-election after serving two terms. He was first elected in late 2014 and again in 2018. In a Tweet Tuesday Wright said “I am honoured to announce my candidacy for Ontario Regional Chief. We are at a time where collective action & collaboration are key, especially post-pandemic.
