Chief of Ontario: Two candidates for Ontario Regional Chief announce

By Lynda Powless Editor A band councillor, and a former chief are running to be the next Chiefs of Ontario (COO) Regiona Chief. Six Nations councillor Nathan Wright and Mississaugas Credit First Nation former chief Larry Sault have announced they are running to be the next Ontario Regional Chief. The current ORC RoseAnne Archibald is not seeking re-election and instead is running for the Assembly of First Nations National Chief position. Elections for the new Regional Chief will be held during the COO 47th Conference that will be held virtually and runs from June 15 -17. Candidates can announce from the floor of the conference when the elections are called to announce they will seek the seat.
