Six Nations Band Councillor running for Ontario Regional Chief

By Victoria Gray Writer Six Nations Elected Councillor Nathan Wright is running for Ontario Regional Chief and if elected, plans to step down from his council position. “I think it’s important that the focus of that councillor position be focused on the community and at a regional level to prevent any conflicts of interest,” he said. “It’s probably the most difficult decision I had to make. I absolutely love working with Chief Hill and my colleagues on council. I think we are gaining momentum and making great strides.” Wright has served two years of a four year term on Six Nations Elected Council.
