Six Nations Community Awareness Week

By Victoria Gray Writer Without Six Nations community member support Grand River Employment and Training (GREAT) wouldn’t have made it through the pandemic. Catherine Porter, GREAT’s special programs coordinator said they are always grateful for community members, but she knows this year has been challenging for everyone. “We wouldn’t have made it through the last year if it wasn’t for the Six Nations community,” she said. “We’re very thankful, I mean we always are, without the community we wouldn’t be here.” To give back to the community and say, ‘thank you,’ GRETI held it’s annual customer appreciation event at the Oneida Business Park on August 6 as part of Six Nations Community Awareness month.
