Assembly of First Nation releases its federal election priorities

By Lynda Powless Editor Half way through a shortened Canadian election the Assembly of First Nations (AFN) has released its federal election priorities for any new government coming in. The 15 page document released Tuesday (August 31 2021) outlines five areas of priority. The areas include: 1. Truth, Reconciliation and Healing for First Nations and all Canadians 2. Climate and Conservation Leadership with First Nations 3. Economic Growth, Prosperity and Wealth Building for First Nations 4. Promoting Peace by Respecting First Nations’ Jurisdiction 5.
