By Victoria Gray Writer Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation Chief R. Stacey Laforme has spent the summer bringing awareness to Indigenous issues and promoting his people. As soon as COVID-19 restrictions allowed, Laforme set to work with his team to get back to representing MCFN off the reserve. He has spent the summer filming inspirational Olympic videos, blessing ships in the Hamilton Harbour, announcing the redevelopment of Ontario Place and fighting to keep reminding people every child matters with Canadian icons. “We’ve been busy a little bit, one thing lead to another and things worked out,” he said “I come in lighten the mood.
