Chippewas of the Thames residents warned after black cougar sightings…

By Calvi Leon, Local Journalism Initiative Reporter Residents of Chippewas of the Thames First Nation were warned to be cautious when outside after multiple reports of cougar sightings this week. The First Nations community, southwest of London, tweeted Thursday that a black cougar was spotted near Jubilee Road and Chippewa Road. “Please be cautious when out and about in this area and report any further sightings to (Chippewas of the Thames First Nation) police,’’ the message reads. The notice comes three days after two sightings of a black cougar were reported near St. Andrew’s Anglican Church on Chippewa Road.
