Williams, Whipsnakes hope to threepeat as champions

Zed Williams (#36) is the ultimate team player and wants all the credit to go to his teammates.

By Josh Giles Writer Another Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) Championship weekend is coming up, and for the third year in a row, the Whipsnakes are in the scene. Being carried by Zed Williams, they hope to repeat for the third time as PLL Champions. In the semi-final matchup against the Waterdogs, the Whipsnakes were able to take care of business, and never give up the lead once. Jumping out to a 3-2 lead after one quarter, they quickly widened the margin to 7-5 by halftime. When it was all said, and done, they walked out with a nice 14-10 victory. 5 of those points came from Williams who earned himself another player of the week honour for his performance. After the game, Williams didn’t want to take too much credit…
