Local cable businessman gets letter of support from SNEC

By Victoria Gray Writer Six Nations Elected Council has thrown their support behind Jeffrey Thomas and his plan to lay fibre internet cable in the community. Thomas, the owner of First Nations Cable presented a more detailed plan to cover the reserve with fibre cable throughout the community in two years at the general council meeting on September 14. “Everybody needs more bandwidth. It doesn’t matter what field you’re in, whether you’re working from home, teaching your kids, streaming; watching movies or running a home business, everybody needs more bandwidth. That’s the bottom line and that’s what we are tying to build here,” he said.
