Help available for those applying for Indian Day School compensation

By Victoria Gray Writer Community members who have yet to apply for Indian Day School compensation were offered assistance to fill out applications through the Community Support program on November 7 and 8, but it was the last scheduled assistance time. Six Nations Elected Council Elected Chief Mark Hill said the sessions on Nov. 7 was not well attended, but it was very busy on Nov. 8 and he plans to advocate for the Community Support team to return to the community before the deadline on July 22. “We want to get them back to the community a couple times before that deadline,” he said. “It’s important that we are making sure all legible people get their application in on time or who needs further assistance.” He said Six Nations…
