Six Nation member assembles championship lacrosse squad at Las Vegas tournament

The Iroqouis Thunder took top honours in their grouping. Six Nations players on the team include Ryan Jamieson, Eric Martin, Brian Laforme, Lynden Hill and Kahner Sowden.

By Sam Laskaris Writer A Six Nations member once again managed to put together a championship youth lacrosse squad. Logan Kane started the Iroquois Thunder, an elite youth travel team, about eight years ago. The club has participated in various age divisions as its players get older. Team members pick and choose which tournaments to attend throughout North America. The most recent event the Thunder took part in was the Las Vegas Box Invitational, a three-day tournament which wrapped up on Dec. 20. The Thunder, which was competing in the boys’ 16-17 category, won all five of its matches and took top honours in its grouping. The team’s 20-player roster included five Six Nations players. They were Kane’s son Ryan Jamieson, Eric Martin, Brian Laforme, Lynden Hill and Kahner Sowden….
