Six Nations author win alumni award from Brock University

By Sam Laskaris Writer Brennor Jacobs has been honoured by his alma mater. But the Six Nations man is unable to provide many details about his latest accolade. Jacobs, a graduate of the Business Communications program at Brock University in St. Catharines, was recently told he won the school’s Outstanding Young Alumni Award for 2021. Jacobs, 30, was recognized for co-authoring Akhwatsirehko:wa My Big Family, a lacrosse book that was published this past year. Jacobs teamed up with his Six Nations cousin Brendan Bomberry, a professional lacrosse player, to write the book. The pair interviewed about 70 former and current lacrosse players, Elders and advocates of the sport.
